Ronald E. Slipski is a senior partner in the law firm of Green Haines Sgambati Co., L.P.A. He earned his B.A. degree magna cum laude from Youngstown State University. He also received a M.A. degree in History from Youngstown State University. He graduated from the University of Akron School of Law in 1979 and, while a student, received the Lawyer's Cooperative, Bancroft-Whitney Award for the outstanding student in labor law. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Attorney Slipski is a member in good standing of the Ohio Association for Justice and has served as a member of its Executive Committee, Board of Trustees and as Chairperson of its Workers' Compensation Executive Committee. He has served as Treasurer and Vice-President of the Mahoning-Trumbull Counties Academy of Trial Lawyers. Attorney Slipski is the Past-President of the Mahoning County Bar Association and has served as the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of its Certified Grievance Committee. He has received the Mahoning County Bar Association's Lawyer of the Year Award and Distinguished Service Award. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Litigation and Employment and Labor Relations Law Sections) and the Ohio State Bar Association. Attorney Slipski received the Ohio State Bar Association's Eugene Weir Award for Professionalism and Ethics. Attorney Slipski's practice includes, among other things, the preparation and trial of many workers' compensation and employment related cases, representing employees and employers. He has taught undergraduate and graduate history and business law classes at Youngstown State University including Constitutional History, Historic Preservation Law and Legal Environment of Business. He has taught workers' compensation at the Mahoning County Bar Association's People's Law School. He also has taught general studies classes at the University of Akron. He has made presentations concerning workers' compensation issues before numerous union and civic organization meetings. He has also presented workers' compensation seminars and ethics seminars for the Mahoning County Bar Association.
